We appreciate any help or support you can provide towards our efforts to helping endangered species by supporting our projects in partnership with the Chipembere Rhino Foundation in South Africa, the Pygmy Elephant Project in Borneo and the United Kingdom Orangutan Appeal for Borneo, all of which can be found on our Projects Page.

Other projects

Here we provide a selection of projects that you may find of use in presenting the work of RAGES to fellow Rotarians, Rotaractors and friends. If you have any other projects in line with our work at RAGES, please feel free to contact us, and we will look at listing them here so that we can share with others around the world here.

It does not mean that the project will be endorsed or supported by RAGES.  This page is designed for Rotarians and Rotaractors to share ideas and to become involved.  As we grow at RAGES  we will endorse projects that fulfill the criteria required for RAGES endorsement.

1.  RACE AGAINST TIME.

 Race Against Time 3

Race against Time is a Trans-Africa record challenge with the purpose of raising awareness of the rhino’s plight and to conserve and protect them.

Over 1,215 adult rhinos were poached in South Africa last year many of them left behind their young as orphans to fend for themselves.

Orphaned rhinos cannot make it by themselves in the wild, they need our help. The only orphanage in Limpopo is over two hours away and has reached its capacity. Shared Universe is planning to shortly create a new rhino orphanage.

A few clubs in Rotary District 9400 has taken on a fairly ambitious project and they need our assistance with this.

Hereto a quick summary of the project

They have joined forces with a newly created Foundation called “The Shared Universe Foundation” to do their part in the War against the eradication of Rhinos in Africa.

What is the mission:  Saving baby rhinos who’s mothers are being killed during poaching operations. (Right now we are loosing an average of 3 rhinos every day).

How do we plan to make a difference:  For a start building and running a new much needed Rhino Orphanage on a 6000 hectare game farm that we have purchased as a rhino and elephant reserve.
What do they need: They need money, but most of all they need help to widen their circle of awareness and support. They need a few influential and passionate people to support them in making this happen.
